Bath fans! Plansina is back. In the 8:00 tonight, Plansina is very much the value pick with three course wins – many of them last season – running off a fair mark and having won this particular race last year. Recent races have been at Wolverhampton, but they still rate higher than the rest of the field, so with all of those green lozenges in the bag, and lots to recommend – as well as being the RTH Selection – the price of 11/2 seems rather long.

Honour Your Dreams takes top stallion ratings with some good form over two races AND top jockey in the 5:15 at York, and for all of those reasons makes eminent sense ahead of a selection of horses that have had a run, but those runs didn’t rate as well as our selection. Your best place option is Mersea who actually came rather close to winning last time but the race value was relatively low (Class 6). However, the speed rating is indicative of a little bit of talent. 10/1 for that one, 7/2 for the former.

The 8:10 at Perth is an unusual race. I’d obviously avoid a Hunter’s Chase in the late spring usually, but the market appears to favour some lowly rated horses while Point The Way picks up a number of individual ratings AND has a great record of 7 from 12 in this type of race. You do have a lot of point-to-point form that goes unmarked on our cards, because we just don’t rate it – so be careful – but the horse’s record speaks for itself.

2:05 at Newton Abbot, and it’s hard not to look twice at Diligent who was beaten recently but still earned 90 after a 100+ 2LR rating, and has a 60% win rate with today’s jockey who also brings a 5lb claim into the race, too. Running off the same mark as last time, he’s the horse to catch, will likely lead from the front and should be in peak fitness now he’s got two races out of the way. A price of 2/1 is absolutely fair.

And a little place money perhaps in the 2:50 at Worcester on OneHundredNotOut who has run twice, placing last time with some credit after having led most of the way. This one seems to be learning in these bumpers and while the race is a little hotter, the improvement cannot be ruled out. 8/1 right now, and hope for around 2.5 on the places.

Over to you.
